What SPINTOWIN is
SPINTOWIN is a free tool from Pinball Passport, LLC that picks a random name from a list you enter. It does not take payments, sell entries, or run contests.
Your giveaway is yours
If you use SPINTOWIN to pick a winner, you are the one running that giveaway. You are responsible for its rules, who can enter, the prizes, any taxes, and following the laws and platform rules that apply to it, such as Florida's laws on game promotions and lotteries and the promotion rules of Instagram, Facebook or any other site where you announce it.
Pinball Passport does not sponsor, run, or endorse your giveaway. The partner logos on this site show businesses that work with Pinball Passport; they do not sponsor or endorse any giveaway run with the tool. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
How a winner is picked
Each spin picks the winner with your browser's built-in secure random number generator
(crypto.getRandomValues), then animates the wheel to land on that name. Giving a name a
weight, like 3,Bob, gives it that many chances. Every spin is added to the History tab in
your browser, which you can clear.
No guarantee
SPINTOWIN is provided as is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, Pinball Passport is not liable for any loss that comes from using it, including a result you disagree with or a list entered incorrectly.
Fair use
Do not overload, scrape, or misuse the site. MatchPlay requests are rate limited, and we may block traffic that looks like abuse.
Privacy
- Stays on your device: the names you type, your colors and settings, and your spin history are kept in your browser's storage. They are not sent to us.
- Reaches our server: requests to load the site and, if you use "Pull players from MatchPlay", the event name, link or number you search for.
- Access log: like most websites, our web server logs each request: IP address, time, the address requested (which includes any MatchPlay search text), and the standard details your browser sends with it, such as browser type and language. We use it for security and to stop abuse. Old log files are deleted automatically about 90 days after they fill up, so a request is usually kept three to four months.
- MatchPlay results: player lists come from MatchPlay Events, a separate service with its own terms. Our server caches what MatchPlay returns (the event and the names of its active players, which MatchPlay already publishes) so repeat requests do not call MatchPlay again.
- No accounts, no cookies, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. We do not sell data.
